Navigator Inventory Manager
Navigator Inventory Manager fills the gaps between your accounting system and the reality of your business operations.
Unlike many accounting systems, Navigator is designed to be flexible - to solve the issues relevant to your unique business.
Integrators have full access to the system source code and can build plug-ins to extend the system's functionality without
"recreating the wheel".
Navigator has a flexible order entry screen which allows you to:
- Act as a trade-counter point of sale screen. This module allows you to add products by scanning the EAN or manufacturer's barcode.
- Use custom-written order entry methods - for example, Style / Colour / Size matrix.
- Use a combination of customer / item pricing, product list prices, volume based prices or pricing levels to automatically look up the correct price for a customer every time.
The uses for Navigator Inventory Manager for order processing are many and varied. You can use Navigator to:
- Accept sales orders from your web store
- Accept sales orders from Navigator Mobile Sales
- Accept sales orders keyed in directly through a PC.
- Create pick slips for items.
- Send sales orders to your accounting system at any stage of processing.
Navigator includes all of the components you need to ensure that your projects are delivered successfully.
Produce customisable quotations including subheadings, images and product prices. Link individual quote line items
to suppliers complete with cost prices to produce margin reports for analysis. When quotations are accepted, Navigator
automatically generates purchase orders for each supplier attached to the quote with zero rekeying and zero mistakes.
Navigator provides a complete history for high-tech or other individually identified items. By entering a serial number into the query screen, you have
instant access to the purchase order the item was received against (for warranty claim purposes), information about the receipt (what else came with this item),
information on the sales order (who purchased the item), despatch information (where did the item go and when - what is the consignment note number) as well as
the history of any returns or repairs for the item. Each document is linked and is accessible with a single button click.
Navigator excels at RMA processing. If your customer reports a fault, an RMA document can be created in the system along with details on the items
to be returned. Choose whether to return the item directly to the manufacturer or process the return in-house and email professional RA documentation for
your customer. Navigator allows you to search through open cases by customer, serial number, repairer or date to proactively manage customer issues.
Navigator overcomes the assumption of many accounting systems that goods are "in stock" as soon as the supplier invoice is paid. By separating the
ordering and receipting process, you always have accurate information about your stock levels. Goods are not available for sale until they have been
checked and receipted into stock using Navigator's scan-receipt module.
Navigator interfaces to hand-held and mobile barcode readers to allow your inventory counts to be completed in the most efficient manner possible.
The inbuilt reports allow you to see discrepancies by product or product classification and finally to accept the stocktake result and update
inventory levels accordingly.
Navigator allows you to view detailed reports on inventory, sales, returns (RMAs), receipting and picking to allow you to better manage your business.
Report descriptions can be tailored by your integrator to your specific needs.
Navigator links to the most well-known barcode label printers to produce professional quality labels for:
- Products (print product labels on receipt)
- Customers (print address labels for mailouts or to attach to delivered cartons)
Navigator includes its own product database with fields for many common attributes not normally catered for by accounting systems, including:
- Unlimited barcodes per item;
- Multi-level product classification system;
- Standard wording and images for quotations and your website;
